What is BMI Calculator?

Under Weight: This is a stage where BMI is equal to or less than 18.5. A lean BMI indicates that you may be losing a lot of weight. At this stage you are asked to consult your doctor. Weight loss will be followed by fatigue and constant tiredness. Immune deficiencies can lead to illnesses such as menstrual cramps (women), bone loss, malnutrition and other health conditions.

Normal Weight: People with a BMI between 18.5 and 24.9 are said to have an ideal body weight. People who gain a normal weight have the lowest incidence of serious illness, and at the same time feel more physically attractive than those with a high or low BMI.

Overweight: Those with a BMI between 25-29.9 are considered overweight. They are advised with healthy tips to lose weight, such as diet and exercise. The higher the BMI, the higher the risk of health problems. According to a recent health survey, rising rates of blood pressure, diabetes and heart disease have been recorded in 27.9% of women and 27.8% of men.

Obesity (Class 1): People with a BMI of 30-34.99 fall into the category of obesity (Class 1). These people are physically unhealthy. This category includes serious diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, gallbladder disease, and some cancers. In this case, people are advised to reduce their weight by 5-10%, which results in a significant improvement in health.

Obesity (Class 2): Results between BMI 35-39.99 indicate a higher risk of weight-related health problems and even death. Consult a doctor and lose weight till low BMI.
